The director moved away from the producer's side

Remuneration of artists and artisans of the late serial artist and goddess Chaudurani of  Zee Bengal's 'Karunamay Rani Rasmani' and Star Jalsa has long been in arrears. Earlier, TDS (source tax) was deducted from the remuneration of artists and artisans but it was not deposited in the government treasury.

All the movement has been with the producers for so long. But this time the directors have also moved away from the producer. Took drastic measures. Subrata Roy, the producer of the two most popular serials, and her production company Subrata Roy Productions filed a written complaint against them at Haridebpur police station in Kolkata.

Until the last news, the shooting of the two serials was halted from Saturday morning, but no lights were lit at Indrapuri Studios in Jubilee Park, Talliganj till Sunday afternoon.

Anandabazar, vice president of the Directors' Association of Eastern India, has admitted in an online version of Anandabazar's complaint against producer Subrata Roy and his production company Subrata Roy Productions. He said that although deducting the source tax from artists and artisans, it is a serious crime not to submit it to the public treasury. The matter was reported to the police.

Zee Bangla took over the production of 'Karunamay Rani Rasmani' serial to expedite the crisis. The decision is taken considering the popularity of the serial. It is heard then that all arrears will be paid by September 21st. But to no avail. Because, although the Bangla authorities have taken initiative to pay arrears of arrears to the artists and artisans, there has been no settlement of tax on arrears. From now on, Zee Bangla authorities have decided not to pay any money to producer Subrata Roy and his production company Subrata Roy Productions.

Swarup Biswas, president of the Federation of Scene Technicians and Workers of Eastern India, said the shooting of the two serials would be stopped until a decision was made regarding the payment of arrears and taxes on crude sources.

On Monday morning, Zee-Bangla and Star Jalsa will hold talks with 'Karunamayi Rani Rasmani' and 'Devi Chowdharani' serial directors, artists and associated organizations.

Meanwhile, one of the most popular ji serial 'Karunamayi Rani Rasmani' has been feared to be stopped. The shooting of the serial has been stopped several times in the last two months. This forced the Bangla authorities to propagate old episodes instead of new episodes. And the audience's interest in the serial has dropped sharply.
